Ms. Elizabeth Mitchell

This website showcases my journey and growth as an educator throughout my early teaching years.

My name is Elizabeth Mitchell, and I have been a dedicated teacher for three years. I spent two years teaching third grade and one year in Pre-K. I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Rider University. I then obtained my masters degree in Literacy from Grand Canyon University.

My passion for teaching and literacy has shaped my approach in the classroom, where I strive to create a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. To enhance my instruction, I completed training in Orton-Gillingham (OG) instruction, a structured, multisensory approach to teaching reading. I currently provide private tutoring using OG strategies, helping students develop strong literacy skills tailored to their individual needs.

Beyond my formal education and experience, I believe in building meaningful relationships with my students and fostering a love for learning. I am committed to continuous growth as an educator and look forward to making a lasting impact on my students' academic success.
